Thanks to our Giving Tree helpers, we provided help to 84 families this year!
In addition to toys, we also provide warm coats, boots and snowpants where they are needed. And some kids love their new clothes just like they love new toys. One mom reported that her little boy was so excited over his new coat that he hugged it as he fell asleep. That's right, he treated it just like a new, snuggly teddy bear.
That's how Giving Tree spreads the love in our community. But we couldn't do it without your support!
Wine lady Laura retired from the store as of January 1st. Many customers had a chance to wish her well at December's Meet and Greet wine tasting.
Please join us in welcoming Wine lady Michelle to the Village Market. Some of you got to meet her at that Meet and Greet tasting.
Michelle comes to us with 15 years of experience in the wine industry. She's worked with distributors and opened a small specialty wine store. She also worked at a large grocery chain as a wine steward. She has a Level 2 certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). This is a word recognized authority on teaching about wines.
Michelle shares a couple of key ideas with Laura:
We just upgraded our deli meats selections. You can now buy regular or premium deli meats. Our regular brand is now called Fresh and Finest. We feel this line is better than our last offering for a comparable price. Our premium brand is Boar's Head. Boar's Head is known for its quality ingredients. We feel you deserve choices in your deli selections.
